Inactive clients with no left date are included in client list when using edit multiple clients

Scenario

When you use
Edit Multiple Clients
to change or add engagements or projects to more than 1 client, the initial list of clients presented includes clients whose
Status
is
Inactive
if they don’t also have a
Left Date
.
This is a known issue that will be addressed in a future version of Practice CS.

Solution

Filter the client list in
Edit Multiple Clients
to exclude inactive clients before selecting the clients to be changed as follows:
  1. Go to
    Setup
    , then
    Clients
    .
  2. Select
    Edit Multiple Clients
    .
  3. Select the action to perform: Add Engagements, Add Projects, Change Client Information, or Change Engagement information and select
    Next
    .
  4. If the
    Filter
    field is not visible, select Chevron next to the
    Search
    field to expose the
    Filter
    field.
  5. In the
    Filter
    field, enter
    Status
    . Then, in the
    Method
    field enter
    is
    .
  6. In the
    Select...
    field, enter
    Active
    and press
    Enter
    on your keyboard. The client list should now include only clients with
    Status
    equal to
    Active
    .
  7. Choose the
    Select All >>
    button, then select
    Next
    .
  8. On the next screen, take action according to the option you selected in step 3.
