Set up a template for weekly or biweekly projects that start on different days of the week

When setting up a project that occurs weekly or biweekly (every 2 weeks), you must specify which day of the week the project is due. This frequency factor is most often used for payroll or payroll related projects that may be due on different days of the week for each client. Using the weekly recurrence option, you can create a separate template for each day of the week the project is due. If you also have similar projects that are due every other week, you'll need to create separate templates for those as well, resulting in many templates needing to be created and managed.
The following steps provide an alternate way to set up weekly and biweekly projects that occur on different days of the week without needing to set up a separate project template for each day:
  1. Select
    Setup
    ,
    Templates
    , then
    Projects
    .
  2. Select
    Add
    .
  3. Enter the project information on the
    Main
    tab.
  4. On the
    Dates
    tab, set the
    Recurs
    option to
    Daily
    .
  5. For projects that occur every week, set the
    Due every
    option to
    7
. For projects that occur every 2 weeks, set the
    Due every
    option to
    14
    .
  6. Complete the remaining fields on the
    Dates
    and
    Tasks
    tabs and select
    Enter
    to save the new template.
  7. Add the project to a client and change the
    Due date
to the next date this project will be due for the selected client.
  8. The project will regenerate every week or every 2 weeks on the same day of the week.
