Accounts Receivable Ledger report

Use the Accounts Receivable Ledger report to view items that have affected a client’s Accounts Receivable (A/R) balance, such as bills, receipts, and adjustments.

View and print the report

To view and print the Accounts Receivable Ledger report, select
File
, then
Print Reports
. In the Print Reports screen, select
Accounts Receivable Ledger
in the available reports pane, then choose the
Select
button.

Information included in the report

  • ID, Name/Description:
    ID and the names of the items you've selected for grouping the report.
  • Date:
    Date of the A/R entry.
  • Type:
    Type of A/R entry (invoice, service charge, electronic funds transfer, cash, credit card, check, credit card return, credit memo, debit memo, non-sufficient funds, or write-off).
  • Reference:
    Check the number or other reference information entered in
    Receipt & Adjustment Entry
    .
  • Beg Bal:
    Balance as of the beginning of the day for the 1st day of the date range.
  • Debit:
    Amount for A/R entries of type invoice, service charge, debit memo, and non-sufficient funds type A/R entries.
  • Credit:
    Amount for A/R entries of type receipt, credit memo, and write-off.
  • Balance:
    Balance as of the displayed entry.

Security permissions for reports

When you enable security permissions for a report on the
Security Groups setup
screen, Practice CS may also give access to view the data available on the report. Also, when you remove the permission to view data, Practice CS may also remove access to related reports.
Go to the
Privileges changed
pane on the
Security Groups setup screen
to check which permission changes Practice CS has made after you enable access to a report.
For this report, if you've not enabled permissions for the
Menu, Setup Menu, Clients, View
security option, Practice CS will enable full access to it.
If your firm has multiple offices, you may want to remove permissions to information for other offices.
