The Project Budget to Actual report shows variances between budgeted and actual hours and amounts per project.

Information on this report

  • ID, Name / Description
    : Number and Description assigned at project setup.
  • Client Name
    : Client assigned to the project.
  • Responsible
    : Staff member assigned at project setup.
  • Hours
    : Number of budgeted hours assigned at project setup, or the number of hours based on tasks; the sum of actual hours entered for the project; and the difference between budgeted hours and actual hours.
  • Amount
    : Budgeted dollar amount assigned at project setup, or amount based on tasks; the sum of the actual amounts entered for the project; and the difference between budgeted amount and actual amount.
  • Target Complete
    : Target the complete date on the project template, or the target date entered at project setup.
  • Actual Complete
    : The Complete date entered for the project.

Security permissions for reports

When you enable security permissions for a report on the
Security Groups setup
 screen, Practice CS may also give access to view the data available on the report. Also, when you remove the permission to view data, Practice CS may also remove access to related reports.
Go to the
Privileges changed
 pane on the
Security Groups setup screen
 to check which permission changes Practice CS has made after you enable access to a report.
For this report, if you've not enabled permissions for the
Menu, Setup Menu, Clients, View
 security option, Practice CS will enable full access to it.
If your firm has multiple offices, you may want to remove permissions to information for other offices.
