SMART Start and SMART Engagement Setup

Practice Aids titles that contain SMART Start data and/or SMART engagement setup questions provide:
  • A new level of efficiency for audits of less complex entities
  • A more efficient way of documenting the entity's controls over financial reporting
  • Ability to filter out unnecessary information
After selecting a SMART Start practice aids title, you will see a new option on the Create Client Engagement window and Create Master Engagement window called

  • If you select
    Yes
    , you finish creating the engagement, and then the SMART Engagement Setup Questions form is listed as the first form in the Navigation pane, and the form automatically opens in the Content pane.
  • If you select
    No
    , you complete your setup options, answer the SMART Engagement Setup Questions in the Create Client Engagement window, and then finish creating the engagement.
The system automatically tailors your practice aids and audit programs based on your answers to the SMART Engagement Setup questions.
