Global fx
To activate Global fx user login, go to
Admin
, Account Setup
, Tax File Activation
, then Global fx
. Global fx User Logins (For Outsource Only)
- Global fx engagements can be submitted to SurePrep Offshore or SurePrep Onshore for preparation in SurePrep.
- To allow SurePrep to access all tax returns in Global fx, create a user for SurePrep in Global fx and add it to the Tax File Activation window.
- Only upon checking the option 'Is Global fx', a template for Global fx will appear under in theCreate New Binder,Basic Information, thenSelect Binder Template
- To enter User Login and Password for Global fx, select on theEditicon
.
- User Login:Enter the User Login which was created for the SurePrep to access returns in your Global Fx account.
- Password:The same as the password used to log into Global FX.
- Select the Save icon
to save the entries or else select the Cancel icon 
if you don't want to save them.
- The Created By, Created On, Modified By and Modified On fields will be auto-populated.
- Selecting the help icon
will take you to the help section for Global fx tax file activation.
Launch Import Station:
- This function runs the latest version of GlobalFx Import Station on the web without having to download the tax import station .exe on your workstation.
- Select the "Import Station" link to Setup and run the Tax Import Station.
- The "GlobalFx and ProFx Import Station Agent Version" window opens as shown below:
GlobalFx:
- The GlobalFx radio button will be selected by default.
- Select the "SetUp" button.
- The "Setup Tax software and file path" window will appear.
- The "View Option" will be set to "Full Window Forms" view. This will leave the return in full window form view when the GlobalFx Tax Import Station has finished importing the data from SPbinder.
- In the "Select Export File Path" section, browse to the Network drive\fx\XX\SurePrep_Export folder path that contains the export (.txt) files.
- SelectSaveto save the path and close the window.
- Once the setup is completed, select the "Start" button to start the export process.
Currently the import station for ProFx isn't available.
