Canon DR-C240 with Capture Perfect 3.1

You can use Capture Perfect 3.1 to create PDF files for 1040SCAN. After installing Capture Perfect 3.1, follow these steps:
  1. To open Capture Perfect 3.1, select
    Start
    Programs
    Capture Perfect 3.1
    .
  2. On the
    Scan
     menu, select
    Select Scanner
    .
  3. When the
    Select Scanner
     window appears, select
    Canon DR-C240
     and select
    OK
    .
  4. On the
    Scan
     menu, select
    Scanner Setting
    Adjust the following settings on the
    Scanner Setting
    window:
    Color mode:
    Advanced Text Enhancement
    Page Size:
     Letter
    Dots per inch:
    300 dpi
    Scanning Side:
    Simplex
  5. Select the
    Brightness
     tab, then select the
    Gamma
     button.
  6. When the
    Gamma Settings
     window appears, adjust the following settings, then select
    OK
    .
    Custom:
     Select the check
    Select
    (from the dropdown)
    :
    Front - Gray
    Input method:
     Factor 1.8
  7. Select the
    Image processing
     tab, then adjust the following settings:
    Character Emphasis:
    Center
    Color drop-out:
     None
    Moire Reduction
    : None
    Character Emphasis:
     Low
    Remove Shadow:
     Select the check
    Erase Dot
    : Select the check
  8. Select the
    Feeding
     tab, then adjust the following settings:
    Double Feed Detection:
     Detect by Ultrasonic
    Feeding Option:
     Standard Feeding
    Carrier sheet(b):
    None
  9. Select the
    Other
     tab, then adjust the following settings:
    Documentation Orientation:
     0 degrees
    Batch Separation:
     None
    Compression ratio for saving:
     75
    Rapid recovery system:
     Uncheck
    Use MultiStream:
     Uncheck
  10. Once the settings are done, select
    Save
    .
  11. The
    Save User Preference
     window will appear. Enter
    SurePrep
    and select
    OK
    .
  12. Select
    OK
     at the bottom of the screen to save these settings for your SurePrep profile.
  13. On the
    Scan
     menu, select
    Scan Batch to file
    .
  14. Save the file to the desired location.
  15. The saved PDF (Test Scan Pages) will appear at the selected location.
