Fetching Tax Summary (CCH Axcess Tax, GoSystem Tax RS)

Follow these steps to fetch a Tax Summary for CCH Axcess Tax or GoSystem Tax RS.
  1. Log in to TaxCaddy.
  2. On the
    Overview
    screen, select a client tile to view the client profile.
  3. Select
    Tax Returns
    .
  4. On the
    Tax Summary
    panel, select
    FETCH
    to begin fetching the Tax Summary.
    In order for the
    FETCH
    button to appear, the
    Client Management
    screen must have the following details:
    ๐Ÿ—ธ CCH Axcess Tax
    • * Tax Software (CCH Axcess Tax)
    • * Tax Client ID
    • * Tax Software Account number
    • Tax Software Password: This is only required if the Tax Client ID requires a password to access the client's prior year tax return.
    • * Tax Software Version
    ๐Ÿ—ธ GoSystem Tax RS
    • * Tax Software (GoSystem Tax RS)
    • * Tax Client ID
    • * Tax Software Account number
    • Tax Software Password: This is only required if the Tax Client ID requires a password to access the client's prior year tax return.
  5. For clients assigned to GoSystem Tax RS, if you see the
    Add State to Tax Summary
    window, select the states you would like to fetch a Tax Summary for, then select
    FETCH
    .
  6. On the right panel, you will see an empty Tax Summary if no tax returns are uploaded.
    A Fetch Summary notification appears when one or more tax returns are uploaded.
    Select
    FETCH
    to begin fetching the Tax Summary.
    Select
    DON'T AS ME AGAIN
    to remove the Fetch notification for the current tax year.
    Select
    FETCH LATER
    to remove the Fetch notification until you upload another Tax Return or log in again.
  7. Once you select
    FETCH
    , TaxCaddy will begin retrieving the tax return summary from the tax software. You don't need to monitor the fetch process, you may leave TaxCaddy and view it later.
  8. Once the fetch completes successfully, the
    Tax Summary
    panel populates the fetched results.
  9. If the fetch fails, the
    Tax Summary
    panel updates the
    Status
    to
    IN ERROR
    and adds the error message in
    Tax Summary
    . You can resolve the error, and try
    FETCH
    again.
