AL40-050 e-file error

An Alabama state code is likely missing from an income source.

Solution

  1. Go to the Federal input and open the Income folder.
  2. Select the
    W-2
    tab.
  3. Make sure you've entered the correct state abbreviation in Box 15 of every W-2.
  4. Correct any inaccuracies, then recreate and retransmit the e-file.
  5. If Box 15 is correct, contact the IRS e-Help desk at 66.255.0654.
