F37-SECTB-002 e-file error

Math Error: Line 5b does not equal Total Credit allowed for Section A wages/winnings and Schedule J Income reported. (rule F37-SECTB-002).

This math error is often triggered by the Ohio Cities e-file system.

Solution

Review the totals on Form 37 per the error:

Check Form 37, page 2, line 5b, against the Page 1 and Page 3 figures.

If these are correct and equal, you'll need to file the return on paper until the Ohio City e-file system resolves the error.

If the figures don't match, review the following screens for inaccuracies to correct:

CW2 (City Wages) in the Ohio Cities Income folder.

CW2G (City Gambling Winnings) in the Ohio Cities Income folder.

Any Federal screens that contribute to Ohio City Income (such as Schedules C or E).

After making any corrections, recreate and retransmit the e-file.
