S1-F1040-027 e-file error

Each 'RecipientSSN' in 'AlimonyAmountGrp' on Schedule 1 (Form 1040) must be within the valid range of SSN / ITIN and must not be an ATIN. (value #########, rule S1-F1040-027)
The Social Security number (SSN) entered for an alimony recipient needs to be a valid SSN or ITIN, not an ATIN.

Solution

  1. Go to the OtherAdj screen in the 1040 Adjustments folder.
  2. Review the SSN entered for the recipient In the
    Alimony paid
    statement.
  3. Correct any incorrect information, then recreate and retransmit the return.
  4. If the recipient doesn't have an SSN or ITIN, you'll need to file the return on paper.
