Link, combine, and merge client portals

Although you can't connect 2 NetClient CS portals, you can choose which portal you send tax documents to. For example, if you want to share a child's tax return with their parents, you could choose to send the child's tax return to the parents’ portal.
Do the following to send documents to a destination portal:
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    Client Communications
    .
  2. Select
    NetClient CS Portal
for the client whose return you want to send to the destination portal.
  3. Select either
    Owner
    or
    Viewer
    from the dropdown under
    Tax Return Destination
    . Select
    Owner
as the primary return for the portal. Select
    Viewer
for secondary returns. Correspondence about pushed portal content is sent to the email address shown for the override portal destination.
  4. Repeat this process for each client whose returns will be sent to the destination portal.
  5. Print the web tax returns to the portal.
