FinCEN Form 114 (FBAR) doesn’t generate

Scenario

You may find that the FINCEN Form 114 (FBAR) doesn’t print or that you can't print the e-file.

Solution

  1. Go to the
    114
    screen in the Foreign Bank and Asset folder.
  2. Clear the
    FinCEN Form 114 has already been filed
    checkbox.
    note
    This checkbox is marked when you e-file the FinCEN Form 114 through UltraTax CS.
  3. Clear the
    Account owner is filing FinCEN Form 114
    checkbox.

  • You can also try going to the
    ELF
    screen in the Electronic Filing Folder and mark the checkboxes to suppress creation of Federal and State electronic files.
  • You can't populate the FinCEN 114 form if you haven't made a selection in
    Information reported for financial account
    in the Form 114 — Report of Foreign Bank Account (FBAR) section of the
    FrgnAcct
    screen.
