R0000-060 e-file error

The number of Binary Attachment files computed by FTB must match the Binary Attachment count attribute [binaryAttachmentCount] from the CA Return Header [CA-ReturnHeader] in the CA-Return element (value binaryAttachmentCount attribute value is: X.Binary Attachment File count is: X., rule R0000-060).
You'll get this error if the count of attachments added to the electronic file's XML doesn't match the actual number of attachments.

Solution

Usually, you can re-create and re-transmit the return to solve this error, because this will cause a recount of the attachments.
  1. In the federal
    Electronic filing
    folder, go to the
    ELF
    screen.
  2. Mark the
Suppress creation of: Federal electronic file when only filing a state return/extension electronically
    checkbox.
  3. Re-create the California e-file and re-transmit the return.
  4. If you continue to get this error, check for the following:
    1. Review the FYI diagnostics to verify what's attached to the return and delete, if needed.
    2. Verify there aren't any unwanted units added in the CA Credits folder and Schedule S for taxes paid to other states.
