Screen CA3803 - California Child's Interest and Dividends (1040)

Overview

Use this screen to complete Form 3803, Parent's Election to Report Child's Interest and Dividends, if the taxpayer has elected to report the child's income on the parent's return. This election eliminates the need for the child to file a return using Form 3800. This input screen provides fields for five children, and UltraTax CS prints a separate Form 3803 for each child. Form 3803 is only generated for children under 19 (or a student under 24) years of age. If a federal Form 8814 is not calculated and the parent chooses to report the child's income on his California return only, all applicable fields in the CA3803 Screen must be completed.
