Screen CAAuto - California Automobile Expenses (1040)
Overview
Use this screen to complete the California Auto Worksheet. Differences between the automobile expense calculated for the federal and state returns are included in the adjustments to income of the applicable activity.
note
All federal Auto Screen information transfers to UltraTax/1040-CA. All units are included in the calculations for total sources. For nonresident and part-year resident returns, the amount included in California sources income is calculated using the in state percentage allocated to the activity.
UltraTax CS provides a global option that allows you to specify how you want to enter asset information. You can enter it either in the asset module or in the various depreciation input screens. When you specify that you want to use the asset module as the method of asset data entry, the information from the input screen is available to make state-specific adjustments. If you are not using the asset module and wish to override depreciation or amortization amounts on the relevant form(s), enter the information in this input screen.
