Overview
Use this screen to complete Forms IT-540, IT-540B, and the associated Schedules. If information transferred from UltraTax/1040 doesn't require additional data or coding, UltraTax/1040-LA shows it on the form only, not in the input screen.

Use Tax
Use this section to complete the lines pertaining to Louisiana use tax.
Purchases subject to use tax
If goods from out-of-state companies were purchased and weren't properly charged Louisiana state sales tax, enter the value of goods bought. This can include purchases from catalogs, television, internet, outside the U.S., or another state (and used in Louisiana).
Contributions
Use this section to complete Louisiana donations. Most donations may not exceed the overpayment available for donations; therefore, UltraTax CS automatically checks for excess amounts, and if needed, limits or eliminates contributed amounts according to the sequence of the contributions in the input screen.
START savings program
The total amount of contributions to START is limited to the amount of overpayment. The amount will be contributed equally to all the beneficiary's on file with the LADOR.
