FPYMT-034-01 e-file error

"Payment Amount" in the "IRS Payment" [IRS Payment] must not be greater than 200% of Form 1120, Line 34, but cannot be greater than 99,999,999. (rule FPYMT-034-01)
This error happens when Form 1120, line 34 exceeds the amount enabled. This can happen when the penalty amount is greater than 100% of the amount due on Form 1120, line 34.

Solution

If the payment amount is greater than 2 times the amount on Form 1120, line 34 or greater than 99,999,999, you'll need to pay the amount due by electronic funds transfer (EFT).
  1. Go to the
    Electronic filing
    input folder.
  2. Open the
    ELF
    screen.
  3. Remove the date in the
    Electronic funds withdrawal for returns: Requested payment date
    field.
  4. Go to the
    General
    input folder.
  5. Open the
    Letter
    screen.
  6. Select an EFT option using the
    EFT options used in filing instructions: Corporate filing instruction
    field.
