Edit and print engagement letters

Edit an engagement letter

Follow these steps to edit an engagement letter.
  1. Select
    Setup
    ,
    Choose your entity
    , the
    Federal
     tab, then
    Letters & Emails
    .
  2. Open the engagement letter you want to edit and make your changes.
  3. Select
    Document
    , then
    Save
    .
  4. Select
    Document
    , then
    Exit
    .
  5. Select
    OK
    .

Print an engagement letter with return or organizer

Follow these steps to print an engagement letter for all clients when printing a return.
  1. Select
    Setup
    ,
    Choose your entity
    , the
    Federal
     tab, then
    Other Return Options
    .
  2. Mark the
    Print engagement letter
     checkbox on either the
    General
     or the
    Client Documents
     tab.
  3. Select
    OK
     twice to close.
Follow these steps to prepare an engagement letter for all clients with the organizer.
  1. Select
    Setup
    ,
    Choose your entity
    , then the
    Organizer
     tab.
  2. Mark the
    Print engagement letter
     checkbox.
  3. Select
    OK
    .

Print engagement letters using Data Mining

Follow these steps to print engagement letters for a number of clients at 1 time using Data Mining.
  1. Select
    Utilities
    , then
    Data Mining
    .
  2. Select your entity from the
    Client database
     dropdown, then select
    Continue (Step 2)
    .
  3. Select
    Letters
     from the dropdown in the Print selection area.
  4. Select
    Engagement Letter
    , then
    Select
    .
  5. In the
    Search name
     field, select
    All [entity type] clients
     from the list (where [entity type] is what you selected in step 2).
  6. Select
    Continue (Step 3)
     to begin the search. If you have a large number of clients, the search may take a while.
  7. The
    Clients
     tab displays a list of the clients for your selected entity. Unmark any clients as necessary.
  8. Mark the checkboxes to select where you want to print or send the engagement letters.
  9. Select
    Print
    .
