Error: Unable to decrypt incoming file error in CS Professional Suite

Follow these steps if you're unable to decrypt an incoming file error in a CS Professional Suite application.

Accounting CS

  1. Close Accounting CS.
  2. Right-click on
    Start
    and select
    Explore
    .
  3. Go to
    X:\WinCSI\Accounting CS\Updates
    (replace
    X
    with the drive where Accounting CS is installed).
  4. Delete the contents of the
    Updates
    directory.
  5. Open Accounting CS and connect to CS Connect to download the updates. Try to apply them again after the download.
If the updates still fail, check the version of FileCabinet, Fixed Assets, Accounting CS, or Engagement CS. You may need to complete updates on these applications in order to update Accounting CS.

FileCabinet CS

  1. Close FileCabinet CS.
  2. Right-click on
    Start
    and select
    Explore
    .
  3. Go to
    X:\WinCSI\Cabinet\Updates
    (replace
    X
    with the drive where FileCabinet CS is installed).
  4. Delete the contents of the
    Updates
    directory.
  5. Open FileCabinet CS and connect to CS Connect to download the updates. Try to apply them again after the download.
If the updates still fail, check the version of FileCabinet, Fixed Assets, Accounting CS, or Engagement CS. You may need to complete updates on these applications in order to update FileCabinet CS.

Fixed Assets CS

  1. Open Fixed Assets CS.
  2. Select
    Help
    ,
    Repair
    ,
    Misc
    , then
    Clear Updates Directory
    .
  3. Close and reopen Fixed Assets CS. Download the updates from CS Connect and try to apply them when the download is complete.
If the updates still fail, check the version of FileCabinet, Fixed Assets, Accounting CS, or Engagement CS. You may need to complete updates on these applications in order to update Fixed Assets CS.

Planner CS

  1. Close Planner CS.
  2. Right-click on
    Start
    and select
    Explore
    .
  3. Go to
    X:\WinCSI\UTP\Updates
    (replace
    X
    with the drive where Planner CS is installed).
  4. Delete the contents of the
    Updates
    directory.
  5. Open Planner CS and connect to CS Connect to download the updates. Try to apply them again after the download.
If the updates still fail, check the version of FileCabinet, Fixed Assets, Accounting CS, or Engagement CS. You may need to complete updates on these applications in order to update Planner CS.

Practice CS

  1. Close Practice CS.
  2. Right-click on
    Start
    and select
    Explore
    .
  3. Go to
    X:\WinCSI\Practice CS\Updates
    (replace
    X
    with the drive where Practice CS is installed).
  4. Delete the contents of the
    Updates
    directory.
  5. Open Practice CS and connect to CS Connect to download the updates. Try to apply them again after the download.
If the updates still fail, check the version of FileCabinet, Fixed Assets, Accounting CS, or Engagement CS. You may need to complete updates on these applications in order to update Practice CS.

ToolBox CS

  1. Close ToolBox CS.
  2. Right-click on
    Start
    and select
    Explore
    .
  3. Go to
    X:\WinCSI\ToolBox CS\Updates
    (replace
    X
    with the drive where ToolBox CS is installed).
  4. Delete the contents of the
    Updates
    directory.
  5. Open ToolBox CS and connect to CS Connect to download the updates. Try to apply them again after the download.
If the updates still fail, check the version of FileCabinet, Fixed Assets, Accounting CS, or Engagement CS. You may need to complete updates on these applications in order to update ToolBox CS.

UltraTax CS

  1. Close UltraTax CS.
  2. Right-click on
    Start
    and select
    Explore
    .
  3. Go to
    X:\WinCSI\UTYY\Updates
    (replace
    X
    with the drive where UltraTax CS is installed).
  4. Delete the contents of the
    Updates
    directory.
  5. Open UltraTax CS and connect to CS Connect to download the updates. Try to apply them again after the download.
For UltraTax CS 2010 and newer, you can select
Help
,
Repair
,
Misc
, then
Clear Updates Directory
.
If the updates still fail, check the version of FileCabinet, Fixed Assets, Accounting CS, or Engagement CS. You may need to complete updates on these applications in order to update UltraTax CS.
