Errors while connecting with CS Connect

  • The computer you were dialing has disconnected.
    Try again.
  • You don’t have any RAS capable devices. Unable to set up the Dial-Up Networking entry.
    If you're using an internal modem, verify that you've set up your modem correctly.
    • In Windows 10: To do so, right-click the Start button, select Control Panel, then select Phone and Modem. If you don't find the Phone and Modem option, change the View by selection to Small icons or Large icons.
    • In Windows 8: Visit the Start screen, type control panel, then select the Control Panel option from the search results. Select Phone and Modem.
    If you're using a connection other than a modem, select OK to open the CS Connect - Communications Setup window, then select a connection type.
  • CS Connect is not receiving a response from your modem.
    If you're using an external modem, verify that it is on.
    • In Windows 10: If you're using an internal modem, right-click the Start button, select Control Panel, and review any network setup.
    • In Windows 8: If you' re using an internal modem, right-click the Start screen, then select All apps. Select Control Panel under Windows Systems and review the setup.
  • Unable to add CS Connect to DUN.
    Select
    OK
    to open the CS Connect - Communications Setup window, then select the proper connection type.
  • Unable to decrypt the incoming file.
  • Another application is dialing the selected connection.
    Restart your computer and/or server.
  • Unable to establish connection with the Thomson Reuters data center.
    Check that your computer is connected to the internet.
