Create a report of all clients with education expenses

Use Data Mining to identify clients who have credits and deductions for current year education expenses.
  1. In UltraTax CS, select
    Utilities
    , then
    Data Mining
    .
  2. Select the database you want to search. For example, select
    1040 Individual
     from the
    Client database
     dropdown, then
    Continue (Step 2)
    .
  3. In the
    Print Selection and Client Search
     window, select a report, such as the
    1040 Client List
     or
    1040 Email Address List
    .
  4. In the
    Search name
     dropdown, select 1 of the education expense search options, such as
    Education expense deduction clients
     or
    Education expense credit clients
    .
  5. Select
    Continue (Step 3)
     to proceed with the search.
  6. After the search is completed:
    • If no clients passed the search, the
      Search Results
       window opens.
    • If 1 or more clients passed the search, the
      Print
       window opens.
  7. Select
    Preview
     to view the report, or
    Print
     to print a paper copy of the report.
