Can't view diagnostics window

Try the following if you can't view the
Diagnostics
window in UltraTax CS. If one tip doesn’t work, move to the next.
  • Select
    Window
    , then
    Display Settings
    to review the configuration.
  • If one of the
    Floating window
    options is selected, try selecting another option.
  • If the previous suggestion didn't work, change your setting back to
    Floating window
    . Close UltraTax CS and rename the user preference file. Test to see if you have your Diagnostics window back by selecting
    CTRL+D
    .
  • Remote Desktop Connection:
    If you have multiple monitors at your workstation, but are remote from a workstation that has only 1 monitor, your Diagnostic window may be on another monitor. This will cause you not to be able to view your Diagnostics window at your current, single-monitored workstation because the view is off your screen. To correct this, you'll need to rename your user preference file.
  • Virtual Office CS:
    If you have multiple monitors and are having trouble seeing your diagnostics window when only using 1 monitor to display UltraTax CS, it may be on another monitor. To correct this, enable monitor 2 by going to
    Window
    then
    Display Settings
    , select to display the Diagnostics on your other monitor, then select
    OK
    . Once you see the diagnostics window on the other monitor, go back to
    Window
    then
    Display Settings
    , change to display your diagnostics window on your main monitor, then select
    OK
    .
