Error: Cannot copy Fixed Assets CS template client

Scenario

This error message only appears in UltraTax CS if you also use Fixed Assets CS.
Error message:
Cannot copy Fixed Assets CS template client

Solutions

  • Verify that the template client isn't locked out by a user by going to
    Help
    ,
    Repair
    , then
    File Locks
    , as well as
    X:\WinCSI\DeprData\$DEPCID
    . You can clear the lock on the File Locks tab or delete it from the
    $DEPCID
    folder if the Template client isn't currently open in Fixed Assets CS.
  • Rename or delete the template client. The template client appears on the Rename Client and Delete Client windows in Fixed Assets CS and you can rename or delete it. If you rename or delete the template client, you'll need to set it up again at
    Setup
    then
    System Configuration Template
    , or restore the template client from a backup.
