Registry keys
In rare cases, you may need to make changes to the Windows Registry when you're troubleshooting issues with UltraTax CS, including installation issues.
When you try to install UltraTax CS, your computer creates registry key data. If the stored registry key data is no longer valid, you may need to manually clear it. Use the following tables to look up registry keys, review their values, and correct them if needed.
This information is meant for your IT Professional. Our support representatives can help identify problems with the registry, but they aren't qualified to walk you through necessary changes. We recommend you make a backup of the Windows Registry before changing anything.
