Determine MAPI-compliant email client for CS Professional Suite

Microsoft doesn't support simple MAPI applications on Windows 8 or newer. You'll need a MAPI-compliant (also known as Extended MAPI) email application like Microsoft Outlook to use the email integration features of CS Professional Suite.
If you have trouble sending emails, or if the
Send to Email Recipient
option isn't available, check if the computer has a MAPI-compliant email application and make sure it's configured correctly.
CS Professional Suite applications use the same email functionality as your Windows operating system. Follow these steps to check if a MAPI-compliant email application is set up on your computer:
  1. Right-click on any document in Windows Explorer or on your desktop.
  2. Select
    Send to
    , then
    Mail Recipient
    .
This should add the selected document as an email attachment in your default email application.
Follow these steps to check if CS Professional Suite applications are configured to work with a MAPI-compliant email application:
  1. In the
    C:\Windows\win.ini
file, make sure that the following lines appear in this exact order:
    [mci extensions]
    [Mail]
    MAPI=1
  2. Make sure that
    MAPI32.dll
    exists in
    C:\Windows\System32
    .
You might need to restart your computer for changes to the win.ini file to take effect.
If these settings and files aren't available, or if following the previous steps doesn't fix the problem, contact your qualified IT professional for help.
