Statement data entry: Exclude and include columns (I/X)

The
Input Screen Overrule
feature allows a preparer to change transferred and calculated system values (including data imported or updated via data sharing) and return to the original source data on input screens. It also allows changes on state input screens on a per-field basis without preventing the transfer of other federal data transferred to the state.
UltraTax CS can track all statement items, so if you know an item will never be included in a state calculation, the only action you'll need to take is to delete the item from the statement. The application will then track that you didn’t want this item included for a specific state.
Because fields are protected on a per-field basis, the
Exclude
option has been removed from most statements. By default, items transferred to most statements will be included with the state return. To exclude an item from the state return, delete the amount, enter a zero, or delete the entire line item from the statement.
  • If a statement line item will never be needed on the state return, deleting the line from the statement will prevent future transfers to the state for that item and will prevent the proforma and transfer of that item to future versions of UltraTax CS.
  • Enter a
    0
or blank out the amount to omit the value from the state return for the current year only; the line item will still proforma and transfer to future years.
  • To resume transfer and to recover a deleted statement line, go to
    Help
    then
    Restore Deleted Statement Items
. This will recover all deleted lines from the statement.
  • To view prior-year data entry in a client that has been proforma'd, press the
    F8
    function key on your keyboard.
