Page Layout and Shading dialog

Use the tabs in this dialog to set the page layout and shading options for the following items.
  • Gov't
    ,
    Client
    , and
    Preparer tabs:
    Use these tabs to set the options for the tax return collations.
  • Organizer tab:
    Use this tab to set the options for the organizer pages if you are licensed for the 1040 Client Organizer.
  • Input screen tab:
    Use this tab to set the options for the input screens.
  • Other tab:
    Use this tab to set the options for printing client reports. Options set in this tab also apply to letters created using Data Mining.
To open this dialog, select the Page Layout and Shading button in the Print Options tab.

Fields & buttons

To print one item per sheet of paper and to print on only one side of the sheet, select this option.
To print IRS forms Pages 1 and 2 back to back, select this option.
To print all items back to back and one item per side, select this option.
When printing all items back to back and one item per side, mark this checkbox if you also want each client document and slipsheet to begin on a new page.
On the
Other
tab, this checkbox is called
Government forms P1 & P2 use front / back
. When printing forms that are not included in a tax return collation (such as Form 9325), mark this checkbox to only duplex pages 1 and 2 back to back.
To print two items per sheet of paper and only on the front, select this option.
To print four items per sheet of paper, two on the front and two on the back, select this option.
You can adjust the darkness of the shaded areas on printed forms. Select on the line above None, Light, or Normal to move the sliding lever to the desired location.
