Scan Settings dialog

The Bar Code Scan Utility has been discontinued starting with UltraTax CS 2023.
Use this dialog to specify the COM port and baud rate for your scanner, and to choose whether you want to store scanned data in upper-case or mixed case text.
note
The Data sharing feature in UltraTax CS is case-sensitive, so you should choose the selection that is most consistent with how you normally enter data into UltraTax CS and other CS Professional Suite applications.
To open this dialog, choose Setup then Scan Settings from the UltraTax CS Bar Code Scan dialog.
Fields & buttons
Port
Use this drop-down list to select the appropriate COM port number for your scanner.

This field is only applicable to scanners with serial connections.
Baud rate
Use this drop-down list to select the appropriate baud rate for your scanner.

This field is only applicable to scanners with serial connections.
Save scanned data in group box
Mark either the
Mixed Case
or UPPER CASE
option to specify the text format in which scanned data should be stored.note
