Firm tab
Use this tab to enter firm information such as employer identification number, telephone number, and fax number. The fields on this tab display the firm's name and address you entered on the license agreement when you ordered the UltraTax CS application(s).
To open this tab, choose Setup, System Configuration, then select the Firm tab.
note
Depending on your security configuration, you might be prompted to enter the master password before you can open the System Configuration dialog.
Fields & buttons
Firm Name and License Address
Displays the firm's name and address you entered on the license agreement when you ordered your UltraTax CS application(s).
note
To change the license name and/or address, please call CS Support at 800.968.0600 and listen to the available options before pressing the appropriate number to speak with a Customer Service representative.
EIN
Enter your employer ID number.
note
If you have applied for but not yet received an employer ID number, enter a hyphen or an "a." UltraTax CS will print "Appl'd For" on the return in place of the employer ID.
Phone
This field initially displays the telephone number you specified on your license agreement. You can change your telephone number here if needed.
Fax
Enter your fax number in this field.
PRP Preparer Block button
Select this button to enter or edit PRP preparer block information, which you can then choose to print on the client's return.
note
- A blank preparer block is already provided with UltraTax CS, so you do not need to enter one.
- PRP preparer blocks can be selected on a client-by-client basis from either the File then New Client dialog or the File then Client Properties dialog.
- PRP preparer blocks can be assigned to or removed from multiple clients using the Utilities then Reassign clients dialog.
- If you are processing the client with a standard UltraTax CS license, supply Thomson Reuters with the client's taxpayer identification number to obtain an authorization code that allows you to print the client's return with no information or with PRP information in the preparer block. Authorization codes are entered in the File then New Client dialog or File then Client Properties dialog.
