Edit Formula dialog (Data Mining)

Use this dialog to structure a search by organizing logical relationships among the search criteria. You can use different types of relationships to structure the search formula.
You can also create complex AND/OR relationships. Data Mining evaluates formulas by evaluating the information in parenthesis first, then by the operator between the parenthesis and passing clients whose data contains that information. For example, if you enter the following formula
(Form 1040 is in return OR 1099-M Documents is in return) AND (1099-C Documents is in return OR Schedule C is in return)
clients who have a Form 1040 AND 1099-C documents will pass, while clients that have 1099-C documents and a Schedule C will not.
To open this dialog, select the Add or Edit button in the Add/Modify Searches dialog to open the Select Search Criteria dialog, and then select the Edit Formula button.

Fields & buttons

Displays the name of the current search.
To change the relationship between criteria, select and drag the criteria to new locations in the Search formula box or select the appropriate option to change all operators in that row or column. By default, AND relationships are displayed vertically in the first column, while OR relationships are displayed horizontally.
