UltraTax CS/GoFileRoom Configuration dialog

This dialog is used to define the criteria for storing tax returns, extensions, and input screens printed from UltraTax CS to GoFileRoom. These criteria include the GoFileRoom drawer used to store different types of UltraTax CS documents or returns, and the GoFileRoom indexes that are mapped to various UltraTax CS properties.
To open this dialog, select the GoFileRoom Options button on the GoFileRoom tab in the Office Configuration dialog. Note that you must be licensed for GoFileRoom, and will be prompted to log in to GoFileRoom after selecting the GoFileRoom Options button.

Fields & buttons

When you open the UltraTax CS/GoFileRoom Configuration dialog, UltraTax CS automatically retrieves a list of your GoFileRoom drawers. Use this drop-down list to select the drawer in which you want to store the documents printed from UltraTax CS. Once you select a GoFileRoom drawer, the Index mapping list in this dialog is automatically updated to include the appropriate GoFileRoom indexes.
Use this list pane to either associate an UltraTax CS property (such as client name, client ID, or return entity type) with a specific GoFileRoom index, or to enter your own description in the Custom Static Text column. If you make a selection in the UltraTax CS Property column, the application will enter variable information that is specific to each document in the corresponding GoFileRoom index. If you enter a description in the Custom Static Text column instead, that same text will be used for the corresponding GoFileRoom index for every document printed from UltraTax CS.
For example:
In the Client Name row, selecting UT Client Name in the UltraTax CS Property column will cause each tax return printed from UltraTax CS to use the name of the client associated with the return. Conversely, if you entered "John Smith" in the Custom Static Text column, every tax return printed from UltraTax CS would display "John Smith" in the Client Name index in GoFileRoom.
If you chose [Map Each Return Type] in the UltraTax CS Property column for the File Section index in the Index mapping list, use this list pane to map specific types of returns to various GoFileRoom indexes. Choose the desired mapping selections from the drop-down list for the parent and dependant indexes. When you print a return from UltraTax CS to GoFileRoom, the tax return type mappings will be used in the corresponding index for the type of return being printed.
Mark this checkbox to have UltraTax CS prompt you to confirm the return index settings when you print a document to GoFileRoom.
Mark this checkbox to print the K1 package for an 1120, 1065, or 1041 return to the recipient's client in GoFileRoom.
