Assemble and transmit eSignature documents with the Organizer

These procedures describe how to send the engagement letter and consent forms to your client to be electronically signed using the eSignature feature.

Assemble the eSignature documents

  1. Enable the
    eSignature
    option.
  2. With the return open, select
    File
    , then
    Print Organizers
    .
  3. Select
    Web/eSignature
    .
  4. Select
    Assemble
    .

Transmit the eSignature documents using CS Connect

After the organizer assembles, follow these steps to transmit the documents using CS Connect.
  1. Select
    CS Connect
    on the toolbar.
  2. Turn the
    Transmit organizers and eSignature documents
    switch to
    Yes
    .
  3. Select the
    Web Organizer
    tab.
  4. Select the clients you want to transmit. Clients with pending eSignature documents are noted with a green exclamation point.
  5. Select
    Connect
    .
The taxpayer (and spouse, if applicable) will receive an email with a secure link to a welcome screen where they can begin the eSignature process.

Track and retrieve signed eSignature documents

The UltraTax CS home page lets you review the status of each eSignature document that you send to your clients. After the client signs a document, you can retrieve the signed document using CS Connect.
