Associate the ICA file type with Virtual Office CS or SaaS applications

In some cases, Windows is unable to open applications in the Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS) environment because it doesn't recognize the ICA file type or because the file has been damaged. The error message with this information is issued by the application currently associated with the ICA file. For example, you might receive the following Adobe Reader error:
Adobe could not open application.ica because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged
.
To fix this, you'll need to change the default application associated with the ICA file extension.
  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Select
    Programs
    and then
    Default Programs
    .
  3. Select
Associate a file type or protocol with a program
    .
  4. Select
Choose default apps by file type
    .
  5. Find
    .ica
in the list of file types and select the current assigned Default app.
    If
    .ica
isn't in the list of file types, you'll need to install Citrix.
  6. Select
    Citrix Connection Manager
    .
If Citrix Connection Manager isn't available in the list to select, close the Control Panel window and complete the following steps.
  1. Go to the location where you saved the
    application.ica
file (the default is your Downloads folder).
  2. Right-click
    application.ica
    and select
    Open with...
    .
  3. Select
    More apps
    .
  4. Mark the
Always use this app to open .ica files
    checkbox and select

    .

    .
  8. Select
