Set preferences for Microsoft Exchange spam filtering

You can customize spam filtering in the following ways.

Enable or block messages from specific email addresses or domain names

  1. Sign in to your Spam Quarantine account by selecting the
    click here
    link in your daily Spam Quarantine Summary email message.
  2. Select the
    Preferences
    tab, then
    Whitelist/Blacklist
    subtab.
  3. Do one of the following.
    • In the Allowed Email Addresses and Domains section, enter an email address or domain name in the text field and select the
      Add
      button. Messages from the email address or domain you added will be delivered to your Outlook inbox.
    • In the Blocked Email Addresses and Domains section, enter an email address or domain name in the text field and select the
      Add
      button. Messages from the email address or domain you added will be blocked; they won’t be delivered to your Outlook inbox.

Send spam messages to your Outlook inbox with a [QUARANTINE] identifier

Quarantined messages are normally placed in your Spam Quarantine account. If you prefer, you can have these messages delivered to your Outlook inbox with the subject preceded by “[QUARANTINE]”.
  1. Sign in to your Spam Quarantine account by selecting the
    click here
    link in your daily Spam Quarantine Summary email message.
  2. Select the
    Preferences
    tab, then select the
    Quarantine Settings
    subtab.
  3. In the Quarantine Enable/Disable section, select the
    No
    option.
  4. Select the
    Save Changes
    button.
Messages identified as spam will now be sent to your Outlook inbox. The subject of the message will begin with “[QUARANTINE]”.

Change the frequency you receive Spam Quarantine Summary email messages

Spam Quarantine Summary email messages are sent each morning by default. However, you can change the frequency with which these messages are sent.
  1. Sign in to your Spam Quarantine account by selecting the
    click here
    link at the bottom of your daily Spam Quarantine Summary email message.
  2. Select the
    Preferences
    tab.
  3. Select the
    Quarantine Settings
    subtab.
  4. In the Quarantine Notification section, select an option.
  5. Select
    Save Changes
    .

Change the language your Spam Quarantine Summary message is delivered

  1. Sign in to your Spam Quarantine account by selecting the
    click here
    link at the bottom of your daily Spam Quarantine Summary email message.
  2. Select the
    Preferences
    tab.
  3. Select the
    Quarantine Settings
    subtab.
  4. In the Default Language section, select the language from the
    Default Language
    dropdown list.
  5. Select
    Save Changes
    .

Turn off spam filtering

Follow these steps to turn off spam filtering for your Microsoft Exchange email account.
  1. Sign in to your Spam Quarantine account by selecting the

    link at the bottom of your daily Spam Quarantine Summary email message.
  2. Select the
    Preferences
    tab.
  3. Select the
    Spam Settings
    subtab.
  4. Select the
    No
    option.
  5. Select
    Save Changes
    .
