You can use the sorting options in Westlaw
Edge
to help you focus on the most important documents in your search results.

Most Used

When you're searching
Cases
, you can choose to sort your results by
Most Used
.
  1. Select the jurisdiction for the cases you'd like to search and perform your search by entering your search terms.
  2. Your results will probably be sorted by relevance.

      Sort:
      method and choose
      Most Used
      .
You will now see search results sorted by how popular they are with other Westlaw users. This can be a good indicator of cases on your issue that have been recently researched by other Westlaw users, and it may expose emerging trends in the law.

You will now see search results sorted by how often they have been cited in other documents on Westlaw. This can be helpful if you have a well-formed legal issue, but you want to find a leading or seminal case that has been cited many times before.

You can select
Most Detail
to see the number of Citing References for each result without leaving the result list.
