John Koufos is President of Cottage Four, a Washington, D.C.-based firm that helps companies develop and optimize healthcare and workforce solutions, and mitigate risk.
Koufos also is a national expert in reentry, and focuses heavily on healthcare, social determinants of health (SDoH), and workforce development. His work drives programmatic value to government agencies and business value to private companies. He has worked with multiple Presidential Administrations, dozens of Governors and Cabinet members, and countless businesses and nonprofits.
John previously served as Executive Director of Safe Streets & Second Chances, National Director of Reentry Initiatives at Right On Crime, and Executive Director of the New Jersey Reentry Corporation. John was Certified as a Criminal Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court and has lived experience in the New Jersey state prison system after a successful career as a criminal defense and civil rights lawyer.
