Laleh Moshiri is a diversity and inclusion professional with more than 20 years of experience managing professional talent at a large Canadian law firm. Through her many talent roles, Laleh has extensive knowledge of recruitment, advancement, and performance management systems, as well as issues relating to career management and retention.
Most recently she was the National Director of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) at Borden Ladner Gervais, a role which she held for seven years. In that capacity, Laleh developed the firm’s EDI strategy and implemented extensive data-driven initiatives such as a sponsorship program for women and members of under-represented groups, targets for leadership roles and shortlists, a Trans Accommodation and Inclusivity Policy, and extensive learning and development programs to raise awareness and build empathy.
In 2017, Laleh received the Canadian Centre for Diversity & Inclusion’s Practitioner of the Year Award, and in 2022 was the inaugural recipient of the Laleh Moshiri Ally Award, awarded at the 2022 Prisme Conference for 2SLGBTQ+ legal professionals.
Laleh holds a coaching certificate from the Coach Diversity Institute and regularly coaches and mentors professionals in navigating professional spaces.
