Bill Scarbrough is the Executive Director of Varnum, LLP, and he works closely with the firm’s governing committees, overseeing operational and strategic initiatives.
Prior to that, he served as COO of Bodman PLC and as COO of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge. He worked in a similar role in the Washington and New York offices of Baker & McKenzie LLP before that. Bill began his career with Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago and worked in a variety of capacities, including a stint as Chief Information Officer.
Bill earned his Bachelors and two Masters degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is involved with a number of arts organizations in Michigan, including the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Bill has served as co-editor of “Practice Innovations” for many years, a law firm management newsletter published quarterly by Thomson Reuters.
