Steven Turnbull to Join Thomson Reuters Founders Share Company Board of Directors
LONDON – Thomson Reuters Founders Share Company today announced that it has appointed Mr Steven Turnbull to its Board of Directors.
The Thomson Reuters Founders Share Company acts as a guardian of the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles. The Trust Principles apply to the entire Thomson Reuters business and are designed to preserve its independence, integrity and freedom from bias in the gathering and dissemination of information and news. The Board of Directors of the Founders Share Company is comprised of 15 Directors from 10 different countries.
Steven Turnbull practised as a lawyer in the City of London for over 30 years, specialising in public and private M&A, equity offerings and corporate advisory work. He retired in 2013, after spending five years with Shepherd and Wedderburn. Prior to that, he was a partner at Linklaters from 1985 to 2008. In addition to his client-facing role, Mr Turnbull was responsible for legal information and knowledge management at both firms, having been involved in this field for over 20 years. He sat on the influential Company Law Committee of The Law Society of England and Wales from 2003 to 2012.
