Thomson Reuters to Deploy C-Track Case Management and Electronic Filing Solution to United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces
EAGAN, Minn. – Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, announced that its case management and electronic filing solution, C-Track, will be deployed in the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (USCAAF).
The deployment of C-Track replaces USCAAF’s server-based case management system that dates back to the 1980s with a more time- and cost-efficient, web-based document management system. This specific C-Track system also will generate court activity reports and upload them to the court’s public website, a process that previously was managed manually by the court’s librarian.
“C-Track has a proven record of bringing added efficiency to court operations, and we are pleased to work with the USCAAF to deploy a system to streamline and improve their workflow,” said Manoj Jain, vice president, Court Management Solutions at Thomson Reuters. “Through C-Track’s market-leading technology, flexibility and integration capabilities, this deployment will modernize case management and processing at USCAAF, and enable seamless integration with the court’s justice partners.”
The USCAAF, which is the first federal court install for C-Track, is the appellate court for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard Courts of Criminal Appeals, and manages an average of 800 cases a year.
“Through continued enhancements and our deep industry expertise, C-Track will strengthen the court’s operations excellence,” said Steve Rubley, managing director of the Government segment at Thomson Reuters. “We have added C-Track and extended longstanding partnerships through our legal solutions with numerous state and federal agencies, and we are honored to now serve as a partner with the USCAAF and look forward to a long, trusted relationship with the court.”
C-Track is a highly secure, web-based product suite that utilizes open technologies and can be installed on a variety of platforms and operating systems. C-Track can be accessed using any modern web browser and provides easy integration capabilities with external systems to ensure a complete and seamless solution for the courts. C-Track eliminates redundancies, increases transparency and automates tasks associated with intricate court processes, while interfacing with other justice agencies to offer a complete and fully streamlined court management solution. Through its market-leading customer service, courts that have maintenance and support agreements receive system enhancements, statutory and legislative rule changes, and free upgrades of the core C-Track product suite.
