Thomson Reuters Org ID Selected as “Best KYC & Client On-Boarding Solution” at A-Team Group’s Data Management Review Awards 2015 Event for Second Straight Year
LONDON / NEW YORK – Thomson Reuters today announced that its market-leading Org ID KYC (Know Your Customer) and client on-boarding managed service solution has again received the “Best KYC & Client On-Boarding Solution” Award at the third annual Data Management Review Awards 2015 ceremony, hosted by A-Team Group.
The DMR Awards have been designed to acknowledge excellence in data management within capital markets and focus on the community of specialized suppliers within financial data management. The awards are overseen by DMR’s ten-member Data Management Summit Advisory Board – comprised of senior managers from financial institutions – who helped shape the categories and the nominees, then invited the 15,000 members of the Data Management Review community to cast their votes for the suppliers they consider the best-performing in each category.
Org ID was singled out, among its many attributes, for the unique value-added managed service that the solution’s screening and ongoing monitoring provides to its diverse client base, including Man Group, BlackRock, Stifel Nicolaus, Tradeweb, BGC Partners and Amundi. Org ID enables its customers to concentrate their compliance resources on the critical risk decisions rather than on document and information collection.
“We are truly thrilled to have received this recognition for a second successive year from experienced users of technology and data services who also are readers of this highly regarded industry information service, founded by the A-Team Group,” said Steve Pulley, global managing director of KYC and Client On-boarding Solutions at Thomson Reuters. “We are proud of the integrated service that we specialize in: delivering and maintaining for our clients an array of fully screened, complete and validated KYC profiles they can rely upon.”
“In the third year of running our Awards, this was by far the most competitive yet with more votes from end-users at financial firms than ever before, so this is a fantastic achievement for Thomson Reuters Org ID and all the other Data Management Review Awards 2015 winners,” said Angela Wilbraham, chief executive officer, A-Team Group. “As the remit of data management reaches across the enterprise, solutions such as KYC and client on-boarding are becoming increasingly central to managing the challenges in today’s financial data management environment.”
Org ID is a global solution developed for banks, investment managers and corporations to simplify and streamline customer and counterparty due diligence and the ongoing maintenance of KYC in line with ever-changing regulatory requirements. This award follows the recent announcement by Org ID of achieving a milestone of 10,000 KYC records which have been fully validated and screened in accordance with a global policy covering financial institutions, funds and corporations. From compliance operations centers in the UK, Poland and Malaysia, Org ID already has published KYC profiles on entities incorporated in over 140 countries with English translation extracts from over 50 languages.
At the core of the unique managed KYC service offering is the Thomson Reuters Permanent Identifier (PermID) – a machine-readable identifier developed to uniquely reference an object or a piece of data. Unlike other symbologies, the PermID does not change over time, making it invaluable for managing data.
This latest Data Management Review Award 2015 for “Best KYC & Client On-Boarding Solution” is a further testament to the growing recognition Org ID is receiving from the financial services industry. Last month, the solution won the “Best Managed/Support Service Provider of the Year” at the Operational Risk & Regulation Awards 2015 ceremony in New York. And earlier this year, peers voting for the 2015 FTF News Technology Innovation Awards selected Org ID to receive two FTF Excellence Awards -- in the categories of ‘Best Operational Risk Management Solution’ and ‘Best AML/Anti-Fraud Solution’.
Data Management Review is a single destination for knowledge and resources covering data management approaches, trends and challenges as well as all the regulations impacting financial data management for the enterprise. Our audience of over 15,000 members is made up of senior-level data and data management executives across sell-side, buy-side, securities administrators, insurance firms as well as vendors and consultants who service them.
