Copy and paste text with reference

You can copy text from a case or decision and paste it with reference information into another document. This can be useful when you're drafting and want to copy and paste content into a Microsoft Word document.
  1. Select the text you want to copy.
  2. Select
    Copy with Reference
    . You'll receive the message
    Text is copied
    .
  3. Paste the copied text into another document or email.
Along with the selected text, the reference will include:
  • Style of cause
  • Neutral citation
  • Pinpoint at the paragraph level
note
If you copy text that isn't associated with a paragraph number, like a headnote, the reference will only include the style of cause and neutral citation.
