Use Select Term Highlighting

Use Select Term Highlighting to find the terms most relevant to your research when scanning search results or documents in Westlaw Edge Canada.
  1. With either a search result list displayed or a document open, select
    Select highlighting
    .
  2. Select the search terms or phrases you want to highlight. You can assign different colours to up to 5 search terms or phrases.
    Westlaw groups search terms that are commonly used as phrases. For example, you can select "disability benefits" as a phrase, or "disability" and "benefits" as 2 separate words.
  3. Select
    Apply
    .
When you open a case document, you'll have the option to go through the terms with selected highlights applied, using the search term navigation arrows.
