Create a custom
Organizer
cover letter

Follow these steps to create a custom cover letter for
Organizers
.
UltraTax CS
creates new custom letters based on the default cover letter. If you previously changed the default cover letter, your changes also appear in the new cover letter. You can add up to 5 custom cover letters.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    [Entity]
    .
  2. Select the
    Organizer
    tab.
  3. Select
    Letters & Emails
    in the
    Documents
    section to open the
    Letters & Emails
    window.
  4. Select
    New
    to open the
    New Document
    window.
  5. In the
    Document name
    field, enter the name of the new cover letter.
  6. Select options in the
    Header/Footer
    section.
  7. Select a border for this letter from the field in the
    Border
    section.
  8. Select
    OK
    .
  9. Edit the cover letter as needed. Save your changes by selecting
    Document
    , then
    Save
    .
  10. Select
    Document
    , then
    Exit
    when you're finished.
Follow these steps to print a custom cover letter instead of the default cover letter.
  • For 1040 returns:
    1. Open the client.
    2. Select the
      Organizer
      folder, then select the
      OrgOptns
      tab.
    3. Select the cover letter from the
      Custom Organizer Cover Letter number
      field. If you don’t perform this step, the default cover letter prints for the client.
  • For business returns:
    1. Open the client.
    2. Select
      View
      Client Organizer
      Organizer
      General
      Letter
      .
    3. Select the custom cover letter from the
      Select the client organizer cover letter version to print for this client
      field. If you don’t perform this step, the default cover letter prints for the client.
