Apply settings for Client Access users

After you enable Accounting CS Client Access for a client and set up security groups, you can enter the rest of the information needed to set up client staff members in Client Access.
For each of your client's members that will use Accounting CS Client Access:
  1. In Accounting CS, select
    Setup
    from the main menu.
  2. Go to
    Firm Information
     and select
    Client Staff
  3. Select
    Add
to create a new client staff member, or find and select an existing staff member in the list and select
    Edit
    .
  4. In the Main tab, enter the identification and contact information. You'll need to at least enter an
    ID
    , their
    Last
    name and
    Email
to create a new NetClient CS portal for them.
  5. If this staff member already has a NetClient CS account, select open NetClient user account window  for
    Account
in the NetClient CS Access section. Find the staff member's NetClient CS login ID and mark the checkbox, then select
    OK
    .
  6. In the NetClient CS Access section, select the data location profile from the
    Profile
    drop-down list.
    • Select a unique data location profile for this individual only, or
    • Select a data location for the client that multiple staff members of that client will use. This allows them to share and collaborate in files and applications outside of Accounting CS.
  7. Mark
    Enable FileCabinet CS
    and/or
    Enable Microsoft Office
if you'd like to give this staff member access to Microsoft Office applications and/or FileCabinet CS.
  8. Go to the Security tab and mark all security groups that apply to this staff member.
  9. Go to the Client Access tab.
  10. Use the grid to find the client, or clients, this staff member should have access to. Mark the checkbox in the
    Allow
    column to give them access.
If you can't find the client in the grid, you likely don't have Client Access Services enabled for the client.
  11. select
    Enter
to save the Client Staff record.
Staff members that already had an existing NetClient CS account should see the clients the next time they log in and open Accounting CS Client Access. If you set up a new client staff member, they'll get a registration email for them to set up their new NetClient CS portal.
