Assemble and transmit web tax returns

Follow these steps to assemble and transmit tax returns for your clients to access from a secure NetClient CS web portal.
Your clients can access their portals at any time using sign-in credentials provided in an automated email from your firm.

Assemble web tax returns

  1. Select
    File
    , then
    Print Returns
     to open the
    Print Returns
     window.
  2. In the
    Print what
     section, select the
    Web/eSignature
     option under the
    Client copy
     checkbox.
  3. Select the
    Clients
     button to open the
    Select Clients to Print
     window. This window lets you select the clients for whom you want to assemble tax returns for the web.
  4. Select
    OK
     to close the
    Select Clients to Print
     window, and then select the
    Assemble
     button.

Transmit returns to secure web portals

After the tax returns are assembled, you need to transmit them using CS Connect. CS Connect is a utility that runs as part of UltraTax CS. It uses the same data entry and display conventions that are used in UltraTax CS.
Follow these steps to transmit tax returns for your clients to access using a secure web portal.
  1. Select the
    CS Connect
     button on the UltraTax CS toolbar.
  2. Select the
    Options
     tab.
  3. Select the
    Web Delivery: Transmit returns
     checkbox in the
    Purpose of this call
     section.
  4. Select the
    Web Delivery
     tab. Use this tab to select the clients to whom you want to transmit tax returns.
  5. Select the
    Call Now
     button to transmit the tax returns. When the tax returns are transmitted, the greeting is sent by email to each of your clients informing them that their tax returns are available and how to access them.
