Create and submit a live 1095-C internet file

After your firm uploads a 1095-C test file to the IRS Affordable Care Act Information Returns (AIR) system, you can transmit a live 1095-C internet file.
Follow these steps to create and submit a live 1095-C file.
  1. Select
    Actions
    , then
    Process Internet/Magnetic Files
    .
  2. Select the 1095-C files, then
    Create Files
    .
    • Accounting CS creates 2 XML files in the
      /12-31-yy/US/Batch File xx/
      subfolder in the file location specified for electronic/internet/magnetic files. To verify the location, select
      Setup
      ,
      File Locations
      , then the
      File Creation
      tab.
    • The 1094-C/1095-C Batch Worksheet is saved in the same location as your 1095-C internet file when it's processed. The worksheet contains the Batch ID, Submission ID, and a list of the employees that are included in the file, including their Record ID. This makes it easier to file any corrected 1094-C/1095-C forms later.
  3. Select
    Sign in to UI production system
    .
  4. Sign in using your e-services account credentials.
  5. Select the manifest and data form files, then select
    Transmit
    .
